HISTORY

and Schmedes Papir

Where did the logo come from?

History

Morten Peetz-Schou was admitted to the School of Arts and Crafts as a 15-year-old (later Denmark's Design School) with dispensation and came a long way in design, advertising- and the communications industry.

He was the person , who in his time signed the P logo for DfP - The United Paper mills. Back then he had his own graphic design studio in Klerkegade and at the same time taught at the Graphic College. He also supported designs such as MATAS's striped packaging, the ILVA and TRYG insurance logos, In addition, beer labels FAXE and CERES are some of the best known, he has made.

The beautiful P represents a sheet of paper and a half reel - and has helped make Danish paper known around the world

Anders Geiker says “It was registered for the first time 8. september 1967 under “Paper, paper articles and cardboard articles, all include in Class 16; cardboard ”and was registered in DfP and later Stora Fine Paper, until I as. CEO. in Stora back in 1998 was asked to stop all registered trademarks. Subsequently, there were none, that showed interest and that is why I chose to use it, when I became independent ”.

First, the logo was used in red, when I in 2005 started DK Paper, which conducts international trade in paper and cardboard. In 2008 became SPOTPAPER with return- and realization paper launched and the logo naturally turned green.

First in 2011 with the acquisition of Schmedes Papir it was time to recycle the old P in its original color reflex blue, which evokes memories for many in the industry. "
